Event #2 – Williamsburg, Brooklyn (August 2024)
The second NYC Pizza Crawl took us deep into the heart of Brooklyn, where some of the city’s best pizza spots call home. This time, we explored Williamsburg and Greenpoint, hitting up four incredible pizzerias. From classic slices to creative toppings, each stop brought something special to the table. If you missed this one, don’t worry—here’s a full recap of our pizza-filled adventure!
Stop #1: Fini Pizza
📍 305 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

We kicked off the crawl at Fini Pizza, a relatively new addition to the Williamsburg pizza scene that has quickly gained a cult following. Known for their ultra-thin, crispy crust and high-quality ingredients, Fini set the tone for the day with their perfectly balanced cheese slice. It had just the right amount of char, tangy sauce, and gooey mozzarella—a great start to our Brooklyn tour.
Stop #2: Best Pizza
📍 33 Havemeyer St, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Next up was Best Pizza, a Williamsburg institution run by Frank Pinello, a true master of the craft. The white slice, topped with ricotta, caramelized onions, and sesame-seed crust, was an absolute standout. Some opted for the classic cheese slice, and it did not disappoint—thin yet substantial, with a flavorful sauce that keeps people coming back for more. Best Pizza lived up to its name, proving why it’s a neighborhood favorite.
Stop #3: Vinnie’s Pizzeria
📍 148 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249

From classic to quirky, our third stop brought us to Vinnie’s Pizzeria, famous for its creative slices and fun toppings. If you’re into adventurous flavors, Vinnie’s is the place to be. Their “Mac Attack” slice—yes, that’s mac & cheese on pizza—was a hit with the group. But even their traditional cheese slice held its own with a perfect balance of crispiness and chew. Bonus points for their hilarious, pun-filled menu board!
Stop #4: Upside Pizza
📍 640 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222

We wrapped up our Brooklyn pizza crawl at Upside Pizza in Greenpoint. This spot has gained recognition for its commitment to high-quality dough and old-school techniques. Their Upside Down Sicilian slice, with sauce on top of the cheese, was an absolute must-try. The crispy yet fluffy crust and rich, slow-cooked tomato sauce made for the perfect ending to our crawl.
